About Us

Our Founder

Sherman Free was born and raised in Allendale, SC. After graduating from Barnwell High School, he earned a degree in Agriculture Economics from Clemson University. Known by his officious laugh and love for the outdoors, Sherman is an outgoing individual who enjoys flying, boating, hunting, and golfing. He is married to his beautiful bride, Mary Ann, and together they're raising an adorable young daughter, Lillie. They are also active members of a local Catholic Church, and enjoy volunteering for various local organizations.

Our Journey

Sherman’s experience in both the banking and corporate worlds has allowed him to broaden his accounting and financial abilities. After his daughter, Lillie, was born in 2013, he began building the clientele for what is now known as Beacon Financial Services, LLC. He left the corporate world in June of 2016 and began putting all of his effort into building what Beacon Financial Services, LLC is today.
